Physical Education and Games at Ludlow
PE and games at Ludlow encourages children to keep fit and active as part of their education for a healthy lifestyle. Gymnastics, games and dance are taught in each year group and swimming is taught in year 5. Within games lessons, children are taught a variety of skills throughout different activities, the value of working together as a team and are given the opportunity to try new and different sports.
Children are split into one of four houses across the school, which gives every child the opportunity to participate in competitive sport. As a school we want to enable every child the chance to access a wider curriculum. This is achieved by offering a large number of extra-curricular clubs. Children are encouraged to represent Ludlow in a variety of competitive and non-competitive environments. We have school teams for football, netball, tag rugby, handball, badminton and athletics, who regularly take part in fixtures against local schools.
It is advised that a PE kit should be brought into school and kept in your child's classroom for the week. Please click on this link for further information; PE Kit
