Site Squad

Site Squad

Site squad is a role that children can apply for in years 4-6. Working with the school site team, children can take on responsibilities to improve our school environment.

Site Squad duties include;

  • litter picking
  • recycling
  • lost property recovery
  • gardening (availability and weather permitting)
  • herb garden (availability and weather permitting)
  • assisting the site team with other jobs around school

Site Squad members have special fleeces embroidered with the logo and can be seen around school at break times. Parents will need to consent for their child to be a Site Squad member and they can choose how often they are on duty (a minimum of 1 break time per week).

Occasionally we will run a trip if we are working on a project or run a competition to design something and celebrate the squad’s creative skills. The role develops confidence, responsibility, reliability, teamwork and leadership skills.

If your child is interested in becoming a member of our Site Squad team, ask them to visit the learning mentors in RAMP for an application form.
