Andrew Clover - Author Visit
In order to help us promote a love of reading, Ludlow welcomed Andrew Clover to school on 22nd November. Andrew is a well-renowned author of the ‘Rory Branagan Detective’ series, comedian and CBBC actor. In a fun-filled (and slightly bonkers) performance, he told the children his seven secrets of story-telling which had the children roaring with laughter!
In his act, he encouraged the children to be storytellers by always being aware of their surroundings so as to soak up ideas. As well as this, he urged them to be bold and brave – to have confidence in their ideas. Our children were so engaged by Andrew’s performance and we know that this is going to really foster a love of reading and writing at Ludlow.
A selection of children were also lucky enough to meet the author as he signed books and even picked up some top tips from him as well. How exciting!
