There are a number of different ways that the school is supporting with pupil’s wellbeing during Lockdown.

Class Zooms

Class Zooms are an important part of the day for pupil’s who are learning from home. It gives them daily contact with their class teachers and friends at school. It aims to motivate pupils with their learning for the day.

Emails and phone calls from teachers and learning support assistants

Weekly, and in many cases, daily contact from teachers means that children know their teacher is still here for them even if they are not in school. If your child is struggling, contact the class teacher and let them know – a phone call from them may help.

Wellbeing Wednesday

Every Wednesday afternoon, both in school and at home, children take part in a whole school Wellbeing Wednesday lesson. This aims to help pupils understand what wellbeing is and gives them ideas for how to boost their own wellbeing.

Staying Active Videos

Try joining in with the Action Arena videos, Vibes with Vokes videos and the daily exercise videos on your year groups timetable to help boost your wellbeing.

The W.I.S.H and Learning Mentor Teams

WISH Star

Ms Locke and Ms Garner lead the WISH and Learning Mentor teams who are continuing to support pupils who need extra support both in school and at home.

If you are still concerned about your child’s wellbeing, Mrs Hotston and Ms Locke can refer families for further support from outside agencies such as the Mental Health Support Team (MHST).
